Secret Santa Questionnaire

Use these prompts in a message or print them before the draw. Only share answers your gift giver needs; the room itself has a private wish list, not a full questionnaire collector.

A questionnaire you can copy

Ask each person to answer only what applies. Keep the price limit and exchange date above the questions.

  • What are three things you enjoy? Example: baking, hiking, mystery novels.
  • What colors or styles do you like or avoid? Example: earth tones; no scented candles.
  • What size would help for clothing or accessories? Example: medium gloves; skip clothing if unsure.
  • What snack or drink do you enjoy? Example: decaf tea; no nuts.
  • Would you prefer a physical gift, a gift card, or an experience? Example: a local bookshop card.
  • Is there anything your Santa should avoid? Example: no alcohol or fragrance.

Keep answers useful, not invasive

Do not request a home address, medical history or other sensitive details in a group questionnaire. A delivery note in your personal room can give a safe pickup point or gift card email instead.

Turn answers into wishes

After creating a room, invite everyone to add up to ten gift ideas to their own private wish list. The person who draws them can read it after the draw; the whole group cannot.

Common questions

Do I need to answer every question?

No. Interests and a few gift preferences are enough. Skip sizes and dietary details when they are not relevant.

Does the room collect questionnaire answers?

No. Copy or print these questions separately. The room provides a private wish list for gift ideas and optional notes.
